Tours from Ciutadella

rutas desde ciutadella

The historical centre of Ciutadella is made up of a small fortified city whose Muslim heritage is shown in the labyrinthine, lively streets of the centre, now full of shops, terraces and cafes. You should visit the Cathedral of Menorca and the convents and noble palaces that give a strong Episcopal feel to this fortified city.

During the festival of Saint John on 23 and 24 June the city has an animated and festive atmosphere. Crowds of people from all over the island flood in to celebrate this emblematic festival with deep historic roots in Menorca.

At the gates of the city is the “Naveta des Tudons”, a unique construction and the most important prehistoric monument on the island. You can also make your way along the shore at Ciutadella, with its series of magnificent beaches and unspoiled coves like Vall d’Algaiarens, Cala Macarella and Macarelleta and developments like Santandria and Cala en Bosc, or just admire a romantic sunset looking out from Punta Nati or Cap d’Artrutx.
